Here is an affordable winter tire from the Continental family of brands. Available with or without studs, this tire has received thumbs up from many a satisfied vehicle owner. Now sold under the name Arctic 12, this General-branded tire has a distinctive tread patterns, with grooves that excel at evacuating water and slush. From what we gather, the Altimax is an offshoot of the Austrian Semperit products now under the Continental umbrella.
It’s worth mentioning that Continental now sells the Swedish-made Gislaved tires (long so popular among Volvo owners), though these are still difficult to find in our market today.
