General Grabber A/TX and X3
In this case, the General brand is the “second” in the Continental group, but it is very well known in the light-duty truck sector.
The A/TX version of the Grabber tire is more of a compromise between a highway tire and an off-road tire. Very soft, it is also approved for winter use. The X3 version is a more-robust three-ply model, but more oriented towards off-road excursions.
Both models are available for 15- to 20-inch wheels.
Goodyear Wrangler
The Wrangler deserves a chapter of its own because of its popularity and effectiveness. This product is offered in several versions including the M/T with Kevlar.
This tire is built with two plies to which the manufacturer has added a third ply, this one of Kevlar (Aramid). Specifically designed for off-road excursions, this third ply becomes very useful off-road as its sidewalls are better protected from punctures cause by blunt objects (such as sharp rocks) thanks to the more-resistant Kevlar strip. It is available for rims from 15 to 20 inches.
For tougher trucks, there's always the Wrangler Workhorse.
Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac
This Wrangler model is more for heavy-duty work trucks. It is available in sizes from 15 to 20 inches.
