Maple Mazda

I was contacted by Ali in December 2020, telling me that if I was not using my vehicle due to COVID I could return it back with no penalty. With the new restrictions in place I was recently was laid off of work and not using the car anymore. When I contacted the dealership they told me they cant honor this as my vehicle has a claim on it. I find it very dishonest when a Maple Mazda employee promises something they cannot meet. After speaking with Albert and bringing up my case to his General Manager, they stated that they couldn't take it back before the lease end date because the vehicle has an insurance claim on it. I am very disappointed and feel cheated as I was promised that I could return the vehicle due to the pandemic, and it is not the customer's issue when your employees make false promises. Its unfortunate that this is my first and final car from Maple Mazda.
