Women only buses in Mexico!

The idea of having buses only for women may sound sexist; but 14 % of sexual harassment cases, according to 2007 statistics, happen on the bus.

Quite a few Mexico major bus lines, thanks to the initiative of a pilot project, will be closed to men during rush hour to protect women, AFP reports.

The news was well received by ladies, but less so by men - who have gone as far as insulting workers (without trying to climb aboard).

"Thanks to women only transport, I will be able to dress up a little more, wear some skirts without being bothered," says a female user.
