The automotive lifestyle

Matching your look to your car

To be honest with you, I'm a freak when it comes to matching my clothes with jewelry and other accessories. I never wear more than three rings at once, and I won't come out of the house if my colours aren't coordinated.

That being said, I'm not the type of girl who overspends to have perfectly matched attire. Of course, if I had a larger bank account, I wouldn't hesitate for one second to push the envelope, like making sure my raincoat matches the body colour of my car.

Some automakers are capitalizing on women's love of cars and fashion with a catalogue of branded items of all kinds. From your wardrobe to your living room furniture and everything in between, they understand that some individuals will go to great lengths to fuel their automotive lifestyle.

Here are a few companies that manage to sell more than cars:

Formula1 Store

For the ultimate Formula 1 enthusiast, there are mugs, books, headphones, key rings, suitcases, clothes, sunglasses; the list goes on and on. You will definitely find something that suits your tastes and your budget. It's a great way to show your support for your favourite F1 racing team, whichever it is.

The iconic manufacturer from Wisconsin sells bikes and various apparel, of course, but did you know that you can also purchase Harley-branded earrings, bracelets, and silver necklaces ranging from $35-$65? Their portfolio even includes mugs, clocks, frames, glassware, pyjamas, doormats, and more. Living the Harley way has never been easier!

Things can get pretty expensive, here -- as you can imagine. In some cases, we're talking about insanely expensive, too. What do you make of sunglasses that cost $2,485, or backgammon set that retails for $1,680? How about silver cufflinks in the shape of a shift knob at $435? For many men and women, this may be the next best thing to actually owning a Ferrari.

Aston Martin

The British luxury brand is all about class and elegance. Whether you buy Aston-branded furniture, accessories, jewels, dinnerware, pens or whatever, expect your wallet to take a big hit... unless you're someone who can afford $65,000 earrings. If so, feel free to browse through their catalogue for ultra-luxurious furniture handcrafted in Italy.

MINI (Braman)

The MINI lifestyle is arguably one of the most interesting, and enthusiasts can match their look to their car in seemingly infinite ways. Fancy a MINI charm bracelet ($35), a MINI checkered shirt ($57) or a MINI parka ($124)? It's all available online!
