Ford takes good care of your sunglasses!

The engineers at Ford know how important sunglasses are for drivers, so they evaluated more than 100 pairs from designer frames to drug store knockoffs to ensure that 95% of them fit well into the 2013 Ford Fusion's overhead stowage bin.

Using a laser scanning device, they created actual-size 3D models and simulated how different types would rest in the overhead container.

''Older sunglasses holders were designed for thin, wire-framed pairs, but fashions have evolved toward thicker, plastic shades. So we changed the bins to keep up with the trends,'' explains Sejal Shreffler, core accommodation and usage engineer at Ford.

No matter what shades you put on, the 2013 Ford Fusion will be able to accommodate them!
